A Short Message About the PA Business Closure

Due to the Business Closure Order in Pennsylvania, we are temporarily closing our Broomall office and pausing our installation services. Here are a few brief but important pieces of information:

  • Remote Technical Support is still available 24/7 by calling 610-557-0160 or emailing support@phoenixav.com

  • If you are transitioning to a home office in order to work remotely, we may be able to provide remote and on-site support.

  • Our sales and office staff is still available by phone and email. We are also happy to offer virtual walkthroughs over FaceTime if you would like to discuss any upcoming projects.

As always, we thank you for being a valued client of Phoenix A/V Specialists. With patience we know we’ll all get past this temporary disruption. Stay safe!

It's Official: Beatles Music Comes to Streaming Services Tomorrow

From Fast Company:

BY JOHN PAUL TITLOW

Okay, it's finally safe to say it: The era of streaming music is here. If dwindling album sales and the slow-but-steady growth of music-subscription revenue weren't enough evidence, consider this new milestone: Beatles albums will be on the major streaming services from December 24.

Starting tomorrow, the original 13 albums released by The Beatles and a few post-1970 compilations will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Deezer, Rhapsody, and several other music subscription services in the United States and around the world.

"The Beatles needed to be on all streaming services if they were to reach out to a new generation of music fans," says Giles Martin, son of original Beatles producer George Martin, who oversees the remastering of the Beatles' catalog for new formats. "Music streaming is the way most music lovers now enjoy their favorite songs."

Important Info for Sonos Systems and iOS 6 Devices

Sonos is sending out a software update tomorrow. If you're no longer running iOS6 on the iPhone or iPad you use with your Sonos, you'll be good to go. However, if you're still controlling your system with a device that's running iOS6, here are a few changes you should be aware of.

What won't change: The way you play music. Browse your library and music services. Group rooms. Adjust and mute your volume.

What you'll no longer be able to do: Set up a new Sonos system. Add new players to your current system. Change your system settings. Add or remove music services. Adjust the EQ.

Not sure which iOS version you're running? Click here to find out.

If you're currently on iOS6, now would be a great time to upgrade. You can also find links to the latest version of the Sonos Controller app for any compatible device on Sonos.com.

If you have any additional questions or concerns about a Sonos system we installed, please contact us.

To Our Loyal HiFi House Customers,

Remember us? As some of you may have heard, HiFi House closed its doors for good in June 2014. For almost 60 years HiFi House served the Philadelphia and Delaware regions, providing clients with top notch products, audiovisual solutions and unmatched service. For anyone that had stepped foot in a HiFi House store over the years, it was easy to recognize that some of the most experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly salespeople you could ever meet were always there to greet you, spend hours with you, and take care of you however they could. When it came time for the salesman to turn your ideas into reality, the next step was to have the best installers in the business put everything together with unmatched quality.

Many relationships were forged over the years, first with the salesman you entrusted to design your home A/V systems from the ground up, give you the dream music listening experience you always wanted, or to just to find out what new products were coming out. Next came the installers who spent days (and sometimes weeks) at your home getting the job done just right, or stopped out right before a party or big game to make sure everything was operating smoothly.

Even though HiFi House is no more, many of the great people that you have gotten to know over the years are still here as Phoenix A/V Specialists. We are here to help, whether you need service on an existing system, are looking for a new system, or just want to say “Hi”.

NateSeanJoeRickGene and Lee are just some of the names that may come to mind when you think of HiFi House. We are all here under one roof with Phoenix A/V and are here for all of our clients, the best in the world.

Drop us a line and say hello, we would love to hear from you.

Best Regards,
The Phoenix A/V Team
